AdVance Dental Reopening

AdVance Dental Reopening and COVID-19 Precautions

See below for details regarding AdVance Dental’s reopening and COVID-19 precautions.

We have been here for our patients throughout the pandemic for emergencies. We are now in the process of slowly reopening over the next few days. Using the published guidelines from the American Dental Association and the Board of Dental Examiners of Alabama, we have made adjustments to our operations to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Prior to coming to the office you will be asked a series of questions to determine if you are high risk for being infected with COVID-19. You will be asked to wear a mask to your appointment, brush your teeth before coming to the office, come alone or with only one other person if necessary, and stay in your vehicle upon arrival. You will be screened again and have your temperature taken upon arrival, and asked to use hand sanitizer and rinses at various times during your appointment.

The waiting room has been converted to a hallway of sorts and is limited to one patient at a time, the same goes for the front desk area. This may result in longer wait times, so please be patient with us, it is all in the spirit of safety.

If you are unsure if you have been exposed to COVID-19 and you pass our screening process, you will be allowed to enter the office. If we determine you are at high risk of having been exposed to COVID-19, we will ask that we delay treatment for at least 7 days and advise that you be tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible and prior to returning.

If you know that you have been infected with COVID-19, we must wait at least 7 days from your first positive test confirming you had COVID-19. If you had COVID-19 and had symptoms, it must be at least 7 days from the onset of your symptoms, and at least 3 days from when your symptoms resolved without the help of medications before you can be seen.

Our policies may change in the future based on published guidelines, so we will update you on AdVance Dental’s reopening  if/when things change. If you need us, call us at (205) 250-6813.
